SEA IMPORTS & EXPORTS / SHIPMENT-SPECIFIC SCOPE
Hazira has container and multipurpose cargo facilities, so “Hazira shipment” does not settle the handling plan. Motumal’s established customs work is in containers and liquid bulk. We consider other sea-cargo sectors only after the specific product, terminal and regulatory requirements are reviewed.
Three decisions to make before the cargo moves
Name the cargo route
Confirm whether the movement is containerised, liquid bulk or another cargo mode and identify the actual terminal. Do not assume a berth accepts a commodity from a port-wide description.
Build the customs record
Align invoice, transport, origin, description and quantity details. Check which product-specific permissions or certificates may apply before setting the filing sequence.
Connect the Surat-side hand-off
Establish the receiving facility, inland delivery or storage plan, carrier conditions and the party responsible for each pending item.
What to send for a useful first answer
- Import or export; exact goods and intended use
- Cargo mode, named Hazira terminal, vessel or booking and dates
- Available invoice, transport and packing or quantity records
- Product specification or SDS where relevant; receiving and onward-movement plan
Other sector enquiries at this sea port are reviewed case by case. Product restrictions, terminal acceptance and the actual service scope must be confirmed for the consignment. Prepare a shipment brief for Shanay ↗
Questions importers and exporters ask
- Does Hazira handle both containers and liquid cargo?
- The port operator describes container berths and multipurpose facilities for dry and liquid cargo. Suitability for a particular product and movement still requires operator confirmation.
- Is your Hazira office at the port?
- Motumal’s Surat / Hazira office is at The Galleria, Pal, Surat. The shipment’s terminal and operating contacts are confirmed separately.
- What if my goods are outside your core specialisms?
- Send the product and proposed movement. Motumal will review the sea-cargo requirements and confirm whether the enquiry fits its service scope.

Customs support at Hazira
Motumal’s service coverage includes Hazira, as confirmed by the company. Share your cargo mode, exact product and arrival information so the team can establish the appropriate customs and operating scope.
Start with the actual consignment
For containers, send the commercial and transport documents and relevant packing information. For liquid-bulk cargo, add the product specifications, vessel details, expected quantity and receiving plan. Confirm the terminal and handling suitability for the actual commodity.
Plan the local hand-offs
Customs preparation and release coordination need to align with the applicable terminal, shipping-line and receiving arrangements. Responsibilities, availability and commercial terms are agreed for the shipment rather than assumed from a general port description.
