Make the file internally consistent.
Motumal’s import-clearance work includes preparing and coordinating the customs entry. The source documents must explain the same transaction: importer, seller, actual goods, value, origin, quantity and movement. Our team raises inconsistencies for resolution before treating them as filing facts.
- Commercial invoice and transaction details
- Transport and packing or bulk quantity records
- Product specification and classification support
- Applicable origin, licence or other-agency evidence
- Importer instructions and intended clearance procedure
Prepare for a query, not only a submission.
An entry can be assessed, queried or selected for examination under the applicable process. Keep the supporting records accessible and identify who can answer supplier, product or value questions promptly. ICEGATE and e-Sanchit are official systems; this website does not submit a Bill of Entry.
Separate the responsibilities.
The importer supplies accurate facts and necessary authorisations. Motumal prepares and coordinates the entry within the agreed scope. Customs assesses and decides release; the port, terminal and carrier manage their own physical and commercial steps.
Continue through release.
A submitted entry is not the end of the operation. Follow assessment, relevant duty payment, possible examination, Out of Charge and the separate delivery arrangements for the cargo mode and port.
Questions before arrival
Can a Bill of Entry be filed before arrival?
Advance filing may be possible under current rules. Confirm the timing and complete information needed for this shipment.
Is a Bill of Entry the same as a delivery order?
No. A customs declaration and carrier or terminal delivery arrangements serve different purposes.
