1. Confirm importer, commodity, cargo mode and port.
2. Share expected arrival and current shipping information.
3. Gather commercial invoice and bill of lading.
4. Include packing information where applicable.
5. Review product descriptions, quantities and units for consistency.
6. Include supplier specifications / safety information where relevant.
7. Confirm applicable origin, licence and regulatory documents with the reviewing team.
8. Discuss receiving storage, terminal or onward arrangements.
9. Assign an owner to unresolved document or operating questions.
10. Agree the next update before arrival.
